Composer and Orchestral Conductor
Maestro Laborda is a multi-faceted musician. The success of his compositions in Europe and Russia has rendered him excellent reviews. His works entitled "Senzalas" are a serie of works for symphonic orchestra, chamber music and Concertos. Among his most outstanding works we can mention his opera called "Irma Dulce", premiered in Rome during the Santa Dulce canonization, celebreted by the Pope Francesco in octuber of 2019. His next project for 2022 include the debut of the Concerto for Violin and Orchestra dedicated to Queen Silvia of Sweden.
He appeared conducting and playing his compositions in several countries such as Italy, England, Russia ,Portugal, Czech Republic , Spain, Germany and Brazil in emblematics places like: São paulo Municipal Teather (Brazil), Palazzo Pamphilli (Italy), Palau de la Música de Barcelona (Spain), Teatro Castro Alves (Brazil), The Barcelona National Auditorium (Spain), Prague Smetana Hall (Czech Republic), Sant Petersburg ERARTA Museum (Russia), Ekaterinburg Philharmonic Theater (Russia) and others.
Born in a family of musicians, Mr. Laborda began to play the piano spontaneously at the age of 5 and at the age of 7 he composed his first work on the piano. The Laborda family has a long lineage of composers and musicians, including Pilar Laborda, his great-grandmother that worked with the famous violinist Pablo Sarasate.

"The Brazilian conductor and composer Roberto Laborda represent Brazil in the final of one of the largest clasical music competition in the world: Antonin Dvorak International Composition Competition. The final will be held from this Saturday (28th) and runs until July 30, in Prague, Czech Republic.
Born in Salvador, Laborda reached Europe without financial resources and after much effort and varied work, gotta pay for his studies in music."
